A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Timothy White is a leading figure in contemporary photography and has been one of the most productive and sought after celebrity portrait photographers in the field for over twenty years. Having exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide, White's photographs have earned him recognition as one of the most important people in photography by American Photo as well as numerous awards including a Lucie for International Photographer of the year. White was the first recipient of the Spotlight Award in 2012, honoring those working behind the scenes in the film industry, by the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival presented to him by long time friend Harrison Ford.

Timothy White's archive is one of the most extensive in the world and includes such Hollywood icons as Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Paul Newman, Nicole Kidman, John Travolta, Jamie Foxx, Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, and George Clooney. White has shot album covers for Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin, and photographed the world's most iconic musicians including Michael Jackson, Keith Richards, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, James Brown, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Britney Spears, Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Usher, Bjork, and Keith Urban. He has also photographed President Obama, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and many political greats and business moguls.

Continuing to photograph cover images for high-end publications (Vanity Fair, Vogue, Esquire, Playboy, and Rolling Stone), White also is called upon by Hollywood studios and television networks (Sony, Paramount, Universal, Lionsgate, E!, F/X) to shoot international stars that grace movie posters across the globe. Ambitiously creative, White also lends his eye to photographing the award-winning Got Milk? advertising campaign, works behind the scenes with celebrity friends on behalf of the international charity amfAR, and is currently in pre-production on his first television series for the History Channel about Precision Motor Cars - a long established and internationally respected restoration of rare antique automobiles for one of the world's wealthiest collectors.

White has published Portraits (Rizzoli, 2001), Indian Larry (Merrell, 2006), Hollywood Pinups (Harper Collins, 2008), Match Prints (Harper Collins, 2010), and a photography collection with legendary rock and roll photographer Jim Marshall. He is currently working on a book documenting his 93 year old parents whom reside in New Jersey.

Dividing his time between New York and Los Angeles, White has taken on the role of curating an evolving exhibition of rock and roll fine art photography for the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood. In partnership with the Morrison Hotel Gallery, White is also opening a major fine art photography gallery on the grounds of the historic hotel in February 2013.
